Donny joined the ministry team at WBC as our Senior Pastor on November 1, 2011. He is constantly reminding us that God is ready to do some “God-sized things” as we work together to build the Kingdom of God one heart at a time. He and Sheila were married on June 18, 1976 and have three adult children, (Dustin, Lanona, & Kayl) all living in Abilene. Most importantly, they are the proud grandparents of Ashton,Holden and Jaelyn Brown. Bro. Donny said he finds his deepest delight and greatest joy in serving the Lord through serving His people. His hobbies and interests include reading, wood-work, and hunting. He is committed to preaching God’s Word and leading God’s people to apply biblical truths to their everyday life experiences. His heart’s prayer is “Let me decrease -- so that Jesus might increase!”

Rick has served Southern Baptist Churches in Texas since 1985. Rick has been on staff at WBC since the end of September, 2002. Here at WBC, Rick has filled various staff positions including, Minister of Education, Family Discipleship, Worship, and Associate Pastor. He is married to Mardi, who serves WBC as church pianist, and has one daughter (Bridget Moore) and one son (Brooks Grant). He loves airplanes, music, and the great outdoors. Rick and Mardi have two grandsons, Parker Moore (10) and Micah Moore (6) and a new granddaughter Presleigh.

Roger is our Student Pastor. He is married to the most incredible woman in the world, Lori. She is a saint and a bit insane, as she did marry a youth pastor. Roger and Lori have 5 wonderful kids, Bethany, Maddison, Brooke, Caleb and Bradon. Helping teenagers learn to walk in relationship with Jesus is his passion.

Roger is a rabid Arkansas razorback fan and his hobbies include: any sport with a ball, the great outdoors and reading (or at least keeping a lot of books on his shelves to impress his friends.)

Marilyn has been a member of Wylie Baptist since 2003. She was born and raised in Taylor county. Marilyn is married to our Director of Maintenace, Scott, and has 3 kids and 8 grandkids. She joined our staff in February 2011 after teaching in Extreme Kidz and directing VBS for us.

I am very blessed to have served here at WBC since June of 1978. I have been privileged to see the church grow and change in so many wonderful ways. My favorite thing to do is to teach 2nd and 3rd graders in Sunday School. I love teaching these kids about Jesus and then getting to see them grow up to serve God . I also enjoy participating in Ladies Bible Study, seeing women who are hungry to grow in God’s Word. I love our church because it is made up of all age groups. Each group contributes to the whole of the church.

Sandy has served as the Administrative Assistant here at Wylie Baptist Church for 26 years.

After a long career in the Air Force, Scott joined our ministry team 3 years ago. He is responsible for keeping the church up and running; a job he does very well. He is married to our Children's Minister, Marilyn. Scott is a proud dad and grandad.

Richard has been responsible for the upkeep and cleaning of our church for 14 years. He is highly recognizable by the Dr. Pepper in his hand and the smile on his face.
